Due to bad weather closing the course at Milngavie Golf Club, the April Medal and County Championships were played over two days. The April medal and Championship qualifiers were played on the first morning with the quarterfinals of the championship played in the afternoon. On the second day, the semifinals and finals of all competitions (Championship, Bronze Championship and Handicap Championship) were played.

The Championship final was a repeat of last year's final with Laura McGeachy (Haggs Castle GC) winning 2&1 over Alyson McGinnigle (Douglas Park GC). A new member to the County, Nancy Day (Balmore GC) won the Bronze Championship beating Jane Lawson (Milngavie GC) at the 18th hole. The winner of the Handicap final was Lynn Hain (Douglas Park GC) with a 5&4 victory over Joyce Tait (Clober GC).

The County are very grateful to Milngavie Golf Club for hosting the competition this year and being so flexible in rearranging the tee times. Fortunately, two days of good weather and a great deal of work by the greenkeeping staff allowed the matches to go ahead.
